Northlands Animal Care Hospital was first established in the Papanui area in 1981. We then outgrew our original location (opposite Northlands Mall) and in 2000 moved into a brand new purpose built hospital located on the corner of Cranford Street and Main North Road.

Our caring Veterinarians and nursing staff have a fantastic level of expertise, we are happy to answer all questions about your pet’s health anytime! All of our staff are dedicate to continuing education, with training in superior technology and the latest medicines, diagnostics and procedures. Our surgical procedures use state of the art equipment in which we perform a wide range of procedures from soft tissue and cancer treatment to more advanced orthopaedic and reconstructive operations.
We have a comprehensive modern lab onsite for preanaesthetic screening, senior and sick animal health profiles, as well as tests for feline Aids, feline leukaemia, parvo virus and a number of other viral conditions.
For complex conditions we can offer CT and MRI scanning through Pacific Radiology. Onsite we have a digital x-ray system and ultrasound, or by referral.
We believe that client education is the first an most important step in helping you to provide your furry friend to have excellent pet health. We offer up to date and accurate client education articles through our pet health library.
